Our Story
In 2005 Anne went to China and visited the tea markets as part of a tourist tour. She immediately fell in love with the teas and carried as much home in her backpack as she possibly could.
Back in Bristol we drank lots of tea, shared some and then ordered more from our friend in China who had agreed to go down to the tea markets for us. Before we knew it we were getting deliveries of lovely big bags of fresh tea from China every few weeks. It seemed obvious that the thing to do would be to start a little business.
We came up with the name ATTIC (not because we keep it in the attic) but because it’s an acronym for 'All The Tea In China'!

The next obvious thing to do was to open a little tea bar. It worked really well, but as we found ourselves being drawn more down the route of alternative health and spirituality rather than hospitality we decided after about 7 years it was time to let it go.
Throughout those years we had always felt there was something really special about the teas but we weren't exactly sure what. So we asked a kinesiologist friend to test the teas on the Power vs Force scale and to his astonishment, as well as ours they scored 976. If you aren’t familiar with this scale you we encourage you to google it, it’s absolutely fascinating. So what was it we were really dealing with? The answer would soon arrive…
So off we went, with our new website up and running and visited well-being shows all over the country. It was at one of these shows, in Alderley Edge, that the major turning point came for us.
There we met healer and plant spirit channel, Natalie Alexander for the first time. Over the following years she gave us channeled meditations, attunements and spoken wisdom from the teas, which confirmed what we had always felt - that the teas were more of a soul medicine than merely a healthy hot drink.
